BMS Group, an independent global insurance and reinsurance broker, has established a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Mumbai, led by Nipun Mapara as Managing Director (MD), with Sanjeev Poojari appointed as Head of Operations.<\/p>\n

\"bmsThe new centre marks a significant step in the broker\u2019s long-term strategy to build data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) capability at scale.<\/p>\n

The GCC in Mumbai complements BMS\u2019s wider presence in India, following the recently announced strategic partnership with Berns Brett India (BBI). The moves aim to drive geographical strength, diversification, and sustainable business growth.<\/p>\n

As an integrated part of the group, the BMS India GCC will work alongside teams globally across broking operations, data, analytics, technology, and client service functions.<\/p>\n

The GCC is central to BMS\u2019s long-term operating model, broadening its access to talent, skills and AI expertise in India, while strengthening collaboration and consistency.<\/p>\n

BMS India GCC will provide the specialist capability needed to deliver at scale the live deployment of AI tools across broking and operations,\u00a0as the group accelerates investment in data infrastructure and AI.<\/p>\n

BMS was supported by EY, who advised on the feasibility, design and build of the centre, and the requisite skills required for in-market delivery.<\/p>\n

Nick Cook, Group Chief Executive Officer, BMS, said, \u201cThe opening of our GCC in Mumbai is more than an operational milestone.
