{"id":1479,"date":"2026-03-03T08:00:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T09:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ateliersfurrer.com\/?p=1479"},"modified":"2026-03-03T13:32:35","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T13:32:35","slug":"k2-international-forms-new-division-to-write-non-us-professional-liability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ateliersfurrer.com\/index.php\/2026\/03\/03\/k2-international-forms-new-division-to-write-non-us-professional-liability\/","title":{"rendered":"K2 International forms new division to write non-US professional liability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>K2 Group Holdings Limited (K2 International), a London-based specialty re\/insurance underwriting platform and division of K2 Insurance Services, has launched K2 Professional Indemnity Limited (K2 PI), a new division that will write international (non-US) professional liability business on behalf of a panel of Lloyd\u2019s of London syndicates.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-192733 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"225\" data-src=\"http:\/\/ateliersfurrer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/K2_Insurance_Services_logo.jpg\">The new division is founded by Richard Smart, and will reportedly bolster K2 International\u2019s specialised portfolio, complementing its existing financial lines suite, which includes K2 Financial, K2 Professional (US professional liability business), and the newly acquired K2 Executive Risk.<\/p>\n<p>Smart, who will serve as Managing Director of K2 PI, is a 40-year London market veteran, having served in senior underwriting roles at Newline, Aspen, and Allianz.<\/p>\n<p>He commented, \u201cI am thrilled to join K2 International to launch this new division.
